Abstract:“Surveying the Yao Letters: The Theory of Supplementation after Enlightenment”, proposes corresponding treatment theories for ophthalmological diseases. Director Cheng (Cheng Shi) applies his theories to the clinical treatment of anterior ischemic optic nerve diseases. He divides the treatment of diseases into early, middle and late stages according to the rise and fall of evils and positives. In the latter two phases, the key is to eliminate evils in the early stage, focusing on “opening and activating blood stasis”. In the middle and late stages, the focus is on protecting righteous qi, treating both symptoms and root causes, focusing on “replenishing qi and blood, and cultivating the liver and kidney”, and taking into account opening and activating stasis. “The Theory of Supplementation after Enlightenment” is mature, and Cheng Shi has had significant effects in clinical application. Now, combining medical records to analyze Cheng Shi’s academic thoughts, it provides ideas for improving the success rate of disease treatment.
