Abstract Peripheral ulcerative keratitis (PUK) is a rare peripheral corneal disease, which can lead to blindness in severe cases and even life-threatening in patients with systemic diseases. Therefore, early diagnosis and intervention therapy can help to control disease progression, improve patients' quality of life and prolong their life. In recent years, many important advances have been made in the study of PUK caused by systemic diseases. This paper aims to review the research progress of PUK-related systemic diseases and local treatment of the eye.
