Abstract: The measurement of sub-foveal choroidal thickness (SFCT) by optical coherence tomography (OCT) has become one of the most important indexes in ocular and systemic diseases. SFCT changes are diverse, showing that the choroid has extremely complex changes not only in some ophthalmic diseases but also in some vascular-related diseases and systemic diseases which are caused by ischemia, hypoxia and other factors. The changes in SFCT also provide early evidence for diagnosis. This article reviews SFCT changes in nonchoroidal diseases.
