Abstract High myopia is one of the important risk factor for primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), but the interaction between high myopia and POAG is not yet fully understood, and the association between two diseases poses diffculties for early diagnosis and treatment. This article reviews the relationship between high myopia and POAG from the perspectives of epidemiology, genetic factors, structural characteristics, and clinical diagnosis. The aim is to further deepen the understanding of the relationship between high myopia and glaucoma, and provide theoretical basis for early clinical diagnosis and treatment.
