Abstract Thyroid-associated ophthalmology (TAO) is the most common orbital disease in adults. With the development of endoscopic technology, endoscopic orbital decompression has become an important treatment for this disease. This paper will introduce the advances of endoscopic decompression of the medial wall, lateral wall, and inferior wall and the surgical effect, as well as the prevention and treatment of complications such as postoperative diplopia. At the same time, the advances of endoscopic decompression for dysthyroid optic neuropathy were introduced.
