Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery provides superior clinical outcomes with higher accuracy, predictability, safety and also it can efficiently reduce ocular manipulation and minimize injury to surrounding tissue. However, complications including severe ones associated with different periods of the surgery still cannot be avoided as a learning curve exists and the unique characteristics of the devices and patients may further add to this condition, which should be emphasized. This article combined the recent advances and our personal experience to introduce the main methods of dealing with the complication of laser-induced miosis with precision and accuracy to effectively provide ideas of avoiding this preventive complication in clinical practice, so as to provide the patients with perfect postoperative visual quality.
