Abstract: Age-related cataract and blepharitis are the most common diseases in the elderly. Blepharitis can reduce the effect of cataract surgery and affect the postoperative satisfaction of patients. In this paper, we discuss the importance of perioperative blepharitis evaluation and treatment, and intraoperative ocular surface protection. The purpose is to enhance the clinicians' understanding of the importance of blepharitis evaluation and treatment during the cataract perioperative period.
