Abstract Thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy is an organ specific autoimmune disease,which ranks top among the orbital diseases with the highest incidences,but its pathogenesis is still unclear and the treatment is yet to be standardized.We need to monitor patients' sight more intensively,attach more importance to a regularized application of the glucocorticoid,and make more use of surgery to maximally protect and save patients' sight,improve their countenance and upgrade their quality of life.
