Presbyopia is a physiological phenomena that results in a reduction in ocular accommodation. Presbyopia is a condition that people develop as they age, regardless of their refractive status when young. Presbyopia is getting more and more attention from ophthalmologists with the increase in an aging population. All kinds of methods and technologies for the treatment of presbyopia have emerged. This paper reviews lens surgery as an approach for the correction of presbyopia.
